Software Engineer - Python

● Strong knowledge of core Python and programming concepts like OOP.

● Excellent understanding of Odoo framework.

● Knowledge of data models available in Odoo core.

● Proven expertise in developing custom modules in Odoo.

● Knowledge in handling Odoo front end(XML and Java Script).

● View customization – work on Widgets, Wizards, Java Script, view XML etc.

● Good knowledge of PostgreSQL with ability to write SQL queries.

● Experience with writing Unit test cases.

● Knowledge of Linux flavored operating systems.

● Familiar with Pylint and PEP 8 Python development style guide.

● Familiarity with Django, Flask or FastAPI can be advantageous.

● Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.

● Experience with RESTful web services.

● Experience working with a version control such as Git.

● Excellent understanding of Frontend technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

● Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

● Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work

processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development life-cycle.

● Develop and Customize the Odoo modules.

● Re-use the features available in Odoo to fulfill the Scope objectives.

● Handle Odoo change requests and day to day issue troubleshooting of Odoo ERP users.

● Write unit test cases and be involved in system testing.

● Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed

solutions

● Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment;

participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

● Application support and maintenance activity after production.

● Develop/Consume APIs to communicate with external systems or to integrate Odoo

with other services.
